Stephen Bass and team worked on a few projects for us back in 2021. (I'm a bit delayed in my review.) Projects included: Exterior painting, bad wood replacement, two garage to house / yard door replacements, new exterior lights and shutters. Excellent communication from start to finish. Steve, the office manager, is on top of everything. Stephen Bass came to our house for the initial meeting. Quotes are clear and easy to understand. Fast response times. We appreciated that Stephen gave us suggestions for paint. We actually gave him a few addresses in our neighborhood where we liked the paint color. Stephen then went to those houses and with a tool, he was able to match similar paint color. Once we narrowed colors (body, trim), Stephen ordered samples and painted swatches on our house. Everyone on his team who came worked well. Caulking the windows, power washing, painting. After painting, the head of the paint team noticed some wood rotting during his inspection. Stephen and his construction team replaced the wood and repainted as needed. Stephen's team also ordered exterior doors for us including the locks needed. We purchased the exterior lighting and shutters which his team installed. We also enjoyed chatting with his team members while they were here. It was a good experience overall for us!
The crew came on time, did exactly what they said they would do, cleaned up their messes and met schedule. They spoke English, explained what they were doing and why, and when inevitable questions arose, they provided recommendations. His supervisor provided his cell phone number in case I had any issues after they left. Stephen stopped by the next day to ensure we were happy with the job. I will definitely use Stephen for future projects.
My husband and I couldn’t be happier with the work done by Stephen Bass and team. When he came out to do the repairs, he found that there wasn’t actually dry rot under our sink like we thought and he said he couldn’t take our money for work that didn’t need to be done. His honesty was admirable. We also needed to add on an additional window sill replacement and he was so generous with the change order. The team arrived on time each day for the work and they were respectful and wonderful to work with. Trustworthy contractors are very hard to find in our experience. I am so happy we found them and I would give them more than 5 stars if I could! We are definitely going to work with them again!
