TL;DR - Stephen Bass is great. Highly recommend. Backstory: I was hearing a really loud vibrating noise in the wall. I asked other people what it could be. I reached out to Stephen, and he knew right away what the cause was: a water pipe vibrating against a wall stud. He said he could fix it, and sure enough he did. He and his crew were timely, professional, meticulous, and knowledgeable. Not only does Mr. Bass have the know how of contracting, he has an eye for aesthetics that brings it all together. He had the highest standards to ensure the wall plaster was uniform with the entire wall. Thank you, Stephen!
We contacted Steve when we needed to do a kitchen remodel due to a major leak. We got several quotes, and Steve's estimate was competitive. Guidance and communication were top notch from start to finish. Steve knew that we had been living without a kitchen for awhile, and was committed to completing our project in a timely manner without cutting any corners. He took the time to answer all of our questions and make suggestions and recommendations when needed. He kept us informed on the timeline and progress of our project. I was impressed with Steve's professionalism and attention to detail. We had a few surprises during construction, but Steve still managed to keep us within budget. He was committed to giving us the best kitchen he could deliver, and he absolutely did that.Steve is very hands-on. Even though he was the owner of the business, he still worked side by side with his crew to complete the remodel. Steve's crew was hard-working, punctual, and professional. They always did a great job of cleaning up at the end of each work day. Steve also has a full-time office assistant that was a pleasure to work with. He was always very responsive and polite whenever I contacted him. The schedule of payments he had set-up was clear and organized.Steve stands by his work, customer service, and craftsmanship. We had an issue a few weeks after the remodel was completed. Even though the issue was not due to an error on his end, he still took the time to spend half a day to remedy the situation to our liking. It is rare to find someone in the construction business with the integrity to do this after a project has already been completed.From start to finish, Steve made the whole remodel process as smooth as possible. I would without a doubt recommend him to anyone in need of a hard-working, honest contractor that delivers and takes pride in his work.
Stephen is a wonderful, attentive and responsible professional. He came on time, did a superb job on our home repairs, and left the area clear of debris. He listened to us when we pointed out little things that required attention and did everything to leave us happy. My husband and I were particularly impressed that he found a substitute to come to work when he was personally indisposed. That showed us that he cared about the project and was committed to its completion in time, as promised. We will definitely contact him again in the future and highly recommend him for any home improvement jobs.
