Mr. Bass completely remodeled my 1920’s home. He stayed within the cost estimate and completed the job ahead of time. For the entire house, he installed new plumbing, electrical, mechanical and re-painted the interior/exterior of the home. In his scope of work, he clearly identified the breakdown of cost, room by room. He completely remodeled my kitchen including new flooring, cabinets, countertops & appliances. Likewise, he in remodeling the bathroom with new flooring, quartz finishes, cabinets & toilet. He also converted our outdoor shed into an ADU. I initially met Steve at a Starbucks in downtown San Jose. He was wearing his business shirt, so I inquired about the type of work they do. He listed out all the things they do. For example, we were looking to replace our home's exterior wood siding with new siding. I got his information and called him sometime later. A month or so later. He came to our house and did the prerequisite walk around. He then asked, "how many times do you like to go on vacation?" We were like, "huh,." So he asked again and then explained himself. What he was getting at the amount of money you're going to spend on replacing the wood, we can go to Cabo, a bunch of times. Here's the kicker and why we went with him. He said, "as a contractor, I would love to charge you more money, but you do not need a complete replacement, what you need is a really good paint job." And that is what we did. If you're looking for an honest, detail-oriented company, go with Steve Bass. He's 100% involved in the project, ensuring that your vision is what they are providing. At first, it was a little confusing because he and his project/office manager are both named Steve. Outside of that, go with Steve Bass! He's from the area and still lives in San Jose. His expertise is Victorian and California bungalows, but whatever your style of home, Steve will get you squared away. If you need referrals for other projects in your home, they will guide you in the right direction. I'm glad we chose Steve.

I met Stephen Bass at Silicon Valley Pride in August. After talking with him about the work I was looking to have done, I knew I wanted to have him come and give me an estimate. The whole experience was positive and professional. Both Stephen and his team made sure everything was done to my satisfaction. I am passing his information on to my new neighbor and will be contacting Stephen for future jobs.
